New Fall Menu at The Gap Deli
There’s a yummy new menu at The Gap Deli at the Parkway. It features new fall dishes like Pork sandwiches with an apple cranberry chutney. Yum! Christmas Times ‘a Comin’ Christmas Times…
Can you hear them bells ringing ringing? Joy joy, hear them singing! When its snowing I’ll be going, back to my country home. How do you celebrate this festive time of the year? Make your way to Fancy Gap and you’ll find a great little shop that has year round Christmas supplies. Check out the offerings at Fancy Gap Pottery! Music to My Ears
Let’s face it, one of our biggest draws up here in Fancy Gap, VA is the sound of picking banjos and sawing fiddle strings. I think everyone here must have either been born with a fiddle or raised up on a banjo. And is it is pretty and lively music! There are always groups everywhere entertaining us! If you love music, Fancy Gap is a great place to stay the weekend or a lifetime. While you’re here on a music tour, be sure to check out one of our cabins for sale. You might be arranging weekend gatherings with your new musician friends, or maybe you’ll want to get one of our handmade instruments from one of our local music makers!

A drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway will surely put some happy energy in your spirit! And while the views from the Blue Ridge Parkway are awesome, don’t forget the many of the views from our developments even top those from the Parkway! (You’ll find many outdoor recreational opportunities here, such as hiking, fishing, biking…)
If music is your thing, our heritage is rich with a long history of Bluegrass and Old Time music. Most any night, you can find a nearby jam session. Stop in and do some flat footin’!
Now how’d we get golf courses on the side of a mountain like that? Well, we did! There are several nearby golf courses for your playing pleasure! Olde Mill, Skyland Lakes just to name two!
Do you consider yourself a gourmand? We have several restaurants in the area that are sure to please your palette! Just off the parkway at the 52 exit in Fancy Gap is a great little cafe called The Gap Deli by the Parkway. Down the road a bit in Laurel Fork at Olde Mill are Maples Restaurant and The Tavern at Olde Mill…just over the hill in Hillsville are some great steak, pizza and Mexican restaurants, and a new hamburger joint with burgers as big as your head!
